Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These terms cover the current Franki information website and its free launch waitlist. They do not govern use of the upcoming Franki app or a paid subscription. App terms will be provided before launch.
1. Operator and legal notice
The website is operated jointly by Jacob König and Felix Bischof, Zürich, Switzerland. We operate as individuals and are not currently a registered company. “Franki” is the project name.
Contact: info@franki-flashcards.com. Use this address for website questions, waitlist requests, privacy enquiries, or reports concerning content on this website.
2. About this website
Franki is developing a proactive flashcard study app with Anki-compatible import, exam planning, catch-up support, and learning aids. Descriptions, illustrations, and demonstrations on this website show the product direction. Features, availability, release dates, and pricing may change before launch.
The website does not currently offer app accounts, deck uploads, AI processing, checkout, or subscriptions. Nothing on this page is an offer to purchase a paid plan. Final app features and any commercial conditions will be explained separately when offered.
3. Joining and leaving the waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free. By submitting your own email address through the signup form, you ask us to send you the Franki launch announcement. Please use an address you control and do not sign up another person without their permission.
Joining does not create a study account, reserve a subscription, start a trial, require payment, or guarantee access on a particular date. Any early-access invitation depends on availability. You have no obligation to buy or use the app.
You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by writing to info@franki-flashcards.com. We may remove invalid or abusive registrations, and we may close the waitlist if the project changes or ends.
4. Responsible use
Please use the website lawfully. Do not submit spam or false registrations, impersonate others, attempt to obtain information about other waitlist members, interfere with the site, or try to access systems or data without authorization. We may restrict abusive requests to protect the website and its visitors.
5. Website content and third-party names
Website text, branding, illustrations, and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. You may view and share links to the website for ordinary personal use. Other uses must respect applicable intellectual-property rights and any relevant licences.
Franki is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Anki. Anki is a trademark of its respective owner. References to Anki describe the intended compatibility of Franki.
6. Your personal data
Our Privacy Policy explains the information handled by the website and waitlist, service providers, retention, and your rights. Joining the waitlist authorizes the launch email described in the form; it does not authorize optional analytics. Waitlist analytics remains disabled until a separate consent flow is available.
7. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep website information accurate and the signup service available, but interruptions, errors, and changes can occur. Contact us if you encounter a problem. Third-party websites linked from the site have their own terms and privacy practices.
Product demonstrations and study-planning descriptions are informational. They do not guarantee exam results and are not medical or other professional advice. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website or waitlist. The updated text and date will appear here. Changes do not retroactively create payment obligations or authorize additional marketing. App terms and any paid-plan conditions will be presented separately before those services are offered.
9. Applicable law
These website and waitlist terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. They do not remove rights or court protections that applicable law gives you. Please contact info@franki-flashcards.com first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.
